Terms and conditions

Welcome to glasslifterrental.ae. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and to the rental of vacuum glass lifters and related equipment from SYED SHABAB HEAVY EQUIPMENT RENTAL L.L.C (“we”, “us”, “our”). Please read them carefully before requesting a quotation or renting any equipment.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, submitting an enquiry, accepting a quotation, or taking delivery of our equipment, you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. Where a separate signed rental agreement or quotation exists, it applies together with these Terms. If there is a conflict, the signed agreement or quotation prevails.

2. Our Services

We rent vacuum glass lifters in various capacities (450kg, 500kg, 800kg, 900kg and 2000kg) to contractors, glass installation teams and other businesses in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and across the UAE. Information on this website, including specifications, images and availability, is for general guidance and may change without notice.

3. Enquiries, Quotations and Booking

  • Submitting a form, calling or messaging us is an enquiry only and does not create a booking.
  • A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written quotation or confirmation and the Customer accepts it.
  • Quotations are valid for the period stated in them. Prices are subject to change if the scope, location, duration or equipment changes.
  • All equipment is subject to availability at the time of booking.

4. Customer Information and Documents

The Customer must provide accurate and complete details, including company name, contact person, project site and any documents we reasonably request (such as a valid trade licence or identification). We may refuse or cancel a rental if the information is incorrect or incomplete.

5. Rental Period, Delivery and Collection

  • The rental period starts when the equipment leaves our premises or is delivered to the Customer, and ends when it is returned to us or collected by us, as stated in the quotation.
  • Delivery and collection times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather or other factors beyond our control.
  • The Customer must ensure safe access to the site, a suitable place for delivery and collection, and a responsible person present to receive and hand back the equipment.
  • The Customer must inspect the equipment on delivery and report any visible defects immediately. Otherwise, the equipment is deemed delivered in good working condition.
  • If the equipment is kept beyond the agreed period, additional rental charges will apply at the agreed or standard daily rate until it is returned.

6. Rates and Payment

  • Rental rates, delivery charges, deposits and any other fees are as stated in our quotation or invoice.
  • Payment must be made by the due date and method stated in the quotation or invoice.
  • Any applicable taxes, including VAT, will be added as required by UAE law.
  • We may charge for late payment, or suspend or recover equipment, where payment is overdue.

7. Safe Use of Equipment

Glass lifters carry heavy loads and must be used with care. The Customer agrees that:

  • The equipment will be operated only by trained, competent and authorised personnel, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
  • The rated lifting capacity of the equipment must never be exceeded.
  • Glass surfaces must be clean, dry, suitable and free from cracks or defects, and the vacuum pads must be properly attached before every lift.
  • Users must follow the manufacturer’s instructions, the safety instructions we provide and all applicable UAE safety regulations, including site safety rules.
  • Loads must never be left suspended, and no person may be placed under a lifted load.
  • Equipment must not be used in unsafe conditions, such as strong wind or rain, unless it is designed for them.
  • Equipment must not be modified, repaired, dismantled or lent to a third party without our written consent.

8. Care, Damage and Loss

  • From delivery until collection or return, the equipment is at the Customer’s risk.
  • The Customer must keep the equipment in good condition, store it securely and protect it from theft, misuse and damage.
  • The Customer is responsible for loss, theft or damage to the equipment (including vacuum pads, batteries, chargers, cases and accessories), except normal wear and tear, and must pay the cost of repair or replacement.
  • If the equipment develops a fault, stops working properly or is involved in an incident, the Customer must stop using it immediately and inform us without delay.

9. Cancellation and Changes

  • The Customer should notify us as early as possible to cancel or change a booking.
  • Cancellation or change charges, if any, will be as stated in the quotation. If the equipment has already been prepared or dispatched, we may charge for delivery, handling and time lost.
  • We may cancel or reschedule a booking if the equipment becomes unavailable or for safety or legal reasons, and will refund any amount paid for the cancelled period.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law:

  • We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage or delay arising from misuse of the equipment, failure to follow safety instructions, unsuitable glass or site conditions, or the actions of the Customer’s staff or contractors.
  • We are not liable for any damage to glass, property or materials being lifted, or for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, project delays or penalties.
  • Our total liability in connection with a rental is limited to the rental charges paid for that rental, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.

11. Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify us against claims, losses, costs and expenses arising from the Customer’s use of the equipment, breach of these Terms, or the negligence or misconduct of the Customer’s employees, contractors or agents.

12. Insurance

The Customer is responsible for having suitable insurance, such as public liability and equipment cover, for the rental period and for the work being carried out, unless the quotation states otherwise.

13. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, government actions, strikes, accidents, supply disruption or restrictions on movement.

14. Use of This Website

  • You agree to use this website lawfully and not to attempt to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Rentals are governed by the Terms in force when the booking was confirmed.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. We will try to resolve any dispute amicably first. If it cannot be resolved, it will be referred to the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.
